La invención de lo cotidiano. Colección Jumex - Museo Nacional de Arte

01 de Nov 2008 - 31 de Mar 2009

La invención de cotidiano. Colección Jumex – Museo Nacional de Arte was an exhibition that gathered, for the first time, the collections of both institutions. With two different ways of collecting and following the line of discourse of the brilliant work of the French philosopher Michel de Certeau, this exhibition proposed a dialogue to meditate on the eternal themes that have integrated the national and international art.

La invención de lo cotidiano was embodied by approximately 150 artworks that include painting, an installation, sculpture, drawing, graphic works, and photography. Manuel Álvarez Bravo, Gregory Crewdson, Rineke Dijkstra, Olafur Eliasson, Gabriel Kuri, Sharon Lockhart, Gabriel Orozco, José Clemente Orozco, Diego Rivera, David Alfaro Siqueiros and José María Velasco were among the presented artists.
